Review of Iraq in Fragments (2006) by Aaron T — 02 May 2008
While lacking in focus, this poetic doc more than compensates in its images of terrible beauty. Invaluable for the POV it provides to Iraqi citizens - a position all-too readily overlooked in films like "Gunner Palace," "The War Tapes," and "No End In Sight.
" In particular, its haunting portrait of an eleven year-old Sunni shop worker won't soon be forgotten.
