Review of Ip Man (2008) by Lesley N — 21 Mar 2011
Martial arts film about the guy who taught Bruce Lee all he knew, based during the 1930;s Japanese invasion and before Ip Man founded his martial arts school. So yes, there's fight scenes but also a bit of chinese history, and a drama about Ip Man's relationship with his friends and family.
plenty to keep the interest of those who don't think there's no such thing as too much fung fu. Totally absorbing, if historically inaccurate, and I HAVE to watch Part Two right now.
