Review of Ip Man (2008) by Blackity B — 14 Sep 2011
It is true that the typical Kung Fu movie involves fighting for revenge or redemption of honor, and that every story ends with a climatic fight where the good-hearted underdog beats his evil oppressor.
To that, I would say this film is no different. However, this film offered a whole lot more. The solid acting and twists and turns of the plot kept me genuinely entertained. The cinematography made this film stunning to watch.
I'm not a huge fan of martial arts films, but I loved this one.
