By far the most engaging, touching, story-driven martial arts movie I've been fortunate enough to see. Witty, charming, brutal, beautifully shot and, on the whole, very well acted (although Donnie Yen is in a league of his own).
One of the rare movies whose quality and appeal lifts it above the humdrum typical of the genre and makes it accessible to a wider audience, A real gem of a movie, surely Donnie Yen's finest yet.
