Review of Invincible (2013) by Jeremy Y — 19 Sep 2008
Really good football movie. Its gritty, but it has heart. I guess like Vince Papale.
Great story of a once in a lifetime event that is filled with great acting performances, and also manages to be a great snapshot of the early 70s in the blue collar cities.
The Blu-Ray is clean and crisp, but the movie itself is washed in earth-tones that help set the stage for the city, which is as much a character as any.
A good film, a good Blu-Ray disc, but definitely not for those looking for eye-candy, as this is a pretty subdued movie visually.
