Reminded me a bit much of 'The Replacements' but with less amatuers, only the one - Papale. I found it ended rather suddenly and the film didn't focus on the fact that Papale only ever took one reception for 15 yards in three years.
It said he played for three years but none of this time was as a starting receiver like the film kind of portrayed. The love story subplot also lacked a lot. Still, simple, easy to watch etc. etc.
