Review of Invincible (2006) by Ducknation — 24 May 2014
Invincible is a pretty great football movie based on the true life story of Vince Papale a 30 year old substitute teacher/bartender that decided to try out for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1976. While this did happen Disney forgot to mention a couple things like that he was a high school football coach and that he successfully tried out for the Philadelphia Bell of the World Football League which is how he got his try out for the Eagles and not a open try out like in the movie. Other then that though I did enjoy the movie. The cast was great Mark Wahlberg did an exelent Vince Papale, Greg Kinnear as Dick Vermeil was perfect, and all the supporting cast did solid performances. While to plot is nothing new its the performances of the actors that make this movie. Also I did really like the soundtrack for the film it had loads of great songs.
Overall I give it a 7.0 Not sure where I put this in my favorite football movies of all time but know I what my next list is going to be about.
