Review of Invictus (2009) by Alex S — 02 Mar 2011
I really enjoyed this film. It's a sports movie without the sole purpose of it being a sports movie. Morgan Freeman IS Nelson Mandela - he's exactly like him! I actually forgot that it was Freeman in this role.
It's also a political movie without being completely about politics; it's gets into the tensions of post-apartheid South Africa in a way that is easier to understand. This is just an all-round good film, one that will probably leave one feeling inspired!
