Review of Invictus (2009) by Jacqui G — 03 Apr 2011
A pretty good film, yet not one of Eastwood's best. But Morgan Freeman is amazing as Mandela, and Matt Damon is just as good as Francois Pienaar. The end pay-off is powerful and emotional, but something was lacking in the plotting, pacing and dialogue (which seemed almost sitcom-esque at times) during the rest of the film which stops me from giving it a higher rating.
