Review of Invictus (2009) by Daniel I — 04 Jun 2011
A brilliantly directed and effective look at Nelson Mandela's tenure just before, during and immediately after South Africa won the Rugby world cup. Morgan Freeman delivers another towering performance.
The only criticisms can be that Matt Damon was a little too subdued and gives a less than totally convincing performance as Francois the Captain of the national rugby team The locations, camera-work and the supporting cast are all excellent.
