Review of Invictus (2009) by Kim B — 08 Sep 2011
Run of your mill sports team victory, previews build up to be more than what it is. Of course I was interested in the back story with Mandela, but it didn't go too in depth. It showed none of the history or gave any context to why Mandela's efforts were so great or the sports teams.
Wasn't very emotional and bland for the subject topic. Towards the end I started zoning out-PREDICTABLE. Also, they never explained why Mandela isn't with his wife- why did they even bring that up and never elaborate? Script was eh, Freeman did a good job.
Eastwood has done better, it was just ok.
