Review of Invictus (2009) by Eoin F — 22 Jan 2012
Just watched this on HBO today, never was particularly interested in it but was pleasantly surprised.
Matt Damon did a pretty spot on South African accent and as always Morgan Freeman was great. It grabbed my atention from the start and was surprisingly well paced.
I liked most of the music in it but there was a really cheesy pop song mid-way through which seemed out of place.
Nelson Mandela really is an insipration though and I think Invictus really portrays him in a positive light.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting film. Recommended.
