Review of Invictus (2009) by No N — 08 Mar 2012
Nelson Mandela couldn't have picked a better actor to portray him on screen. Freeman and Damon give predictably terrific performances, and virtually become invisible to the audience. Eastwood does a great job conveying the post-apartheid tension, and though the climax is ridiculously drawn-out, this is a fantastic follow up to Gran Torino.
