Review of Invictus (2009) by Bradley H — 15 Sep 2012
Strong performances throughout, especially by Freeman, but nevertheless dull. And not only because at the end of the film I know less about the game of rugby than the black South African children playing soccer at the beginning of the film.
The story, which may well be an important one historically, never feels monumentally important dramatically.
