Review of Invictus (2009) by Jonathan P — 28 Nov 2012
Morgan Freeman is mesmerizing as Nelson Mendela. When he enters the screen, you can see only Mendela. Freeman's motions, accent, and posture all reflect the real Mendela. His story is an amazing representation of the human spirit to overcome the challenges ahead.
One thing I had a problem with though is that they could have spent more time on the actual Rugby games. But Invictus has a bigger meaning than how a nation won the Rugby World Cup. It's really a story about the rise of a nation and its wise leader.
