Review of Invictus (2009) by Pasindu G — 10 Aug 2013

The movie that was called Invictus was a great movie. The must congratulate the craters of this production for doing a great job at it. This movie is mainly about Nelson Mandela uniting the white South African and the black South Africans after years of racism. Nelson Mandela who is been played by Morgan freeman dose.

Grate job at acting Mandela. The long back story of the movie is nelson Mandela was jailed for 27 years and after he has released he gets the places of the president. And the rest of the film tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa's rugby team to help unite their country. Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa's rugby team as they make their historic run to the 1995 Rugby World Cup Championship match.

In this film one of the things that is shown in racism it is strongly shown that is hard for people As you keep watching the movie you find that the South African team is really bad at playing the rugby. You find out that the nelson Mandela is trying to use ruby to unite the two different races of the country.

One of the people that you find that is uptight on safety of the president Tony Kgoroge (acted by Jason Tshabalala). He is that like to fallow orders to the letter, so he is not the type that likes to have that much fun. Then there is matt Damon who is one of the main characters in the movie, he acts Francois Pienaar and is the captain of the ruby team and plays the major part of uniting the country.

The captain of the team is given a poem by president. The poem inspires the captain of the ruby team. This film has lot themes to the film. The main two that stand out is racism and leadership.

I believe that this movie can be enjoyed by the young and the old. It has many morals that are attached to it. If you want to learn about leadership this is the movie to watch. It has some of the best pointers for the youth which is going to be our future.

As you can see I speak highly of the movie but I have one little criticism I believe that the ending was a little odd because it did end like another movie. Do make my critic get in your way I believe that this is great movie for the young and the old.
