A fantastic movie. I couldn't help feeling teary and inspired, it is directed by Clint Eastwood and is The story is based on the John Carlin book 'Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation' which is about the events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, which was hosted in that country following the dismantling of apartheid. Freeman and Damon play, respectively, South African President Nelson Mandela and François Pienaar, the captain of the South Africa rugby union team, the Springboks.

There is not much to say about this film that is bad, besides the fact that sure the rugby scenes aren't entirely convincing. However, the plot, story, and acting is superb. Clint Eastwood directed it with style and grace, and the hard topics which it touches upon I think is done also with great respect and focus as it does not diminute its importance. Morgan Freeman also does a great job, and probably the only actor in Hollywood which I think could have done the role so well.

Overall a great movie worthy of a 5 star rating. It is in my opinion very well done, and commendable for its ability to tell an important story with grace, respect and artistic power.
