Review of Invictus (2009) by James H — 14 Apr 2016
Invictus is a good film about Nelson Mandela with fantastic performances from Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon and yes this film is heavily revolved around rugby but it doesn't take away from the inspiring story of how Mandela spearheaded the idea of equality through winning the World Cup.
The score is also gorgeous and I think it is well directed by Eastwood. I just wish it had more of an emotional punch as it is a delequite and sophisticated subject.
