Review of Inventing the Abbotts (1997) by Susan D — 12 Jul 2007
An okay story that bores you to the point of tears at it's length of 1 hour and 52 minutes. The editor would have been smart to cut off at least 20 minutes. It drags along at such a slow pace that when the story is finally resolved at the last moment, you feel cheated by such a simple ending.
This film leaves much to be desired. It's only saving grace is that it does achieve some level of visual richness of the period, although nothing very extraordinary.
