Review of Inventing the Abbotts (1997) by Chad M — 11 Oct 2008
Overall, an okay film. Not as well-rounded as it could've been. Joaquin Phoenix hasn't yet developed into a good actor in this film. He's okay, but not stellar like he is later. I don't like Liv Tyler.
She is highly overrated. Jennifer Connelly is great in this as she is in everything she touches, but even she can't make up for Liv's lackluster performance. C+ for direction.
