Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Kyle E — 23 Nov 2007
Strong stuff, Kaufman manages to create and sustain a tense, scary atmosphere consistantly throughout this two hour horror chiller. The film is helped greatly by its great cast, Sutherland leading the way with apt restraint, but with good support from Adams, Goldblum, Veronica Cartwright and Leonard Nimoy.
The real star here though, is Ben Burtt's superb sound design, which unfortunately is spoiled on occasionally by some poor music, but for the most part this is a highly successful sci-fi horror.
