Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Elias H — 22 Aug 2011
While many people around me love other sci-fi films that are more popular, my heart has always been with the darker sci-fi films like this film because I've always loved the underdogs of various film genres that not enough people watch.
This film is a phenomenal remake of the phenomenal 1956 film of the same name, only this time it expands upon the story and makes everything darker and more complex. This film is suspenseful and intense which really makes it shine to this very day and why it is hailed as a classic of science fiction.
While I prefer the 1956 original, this 1978 remake is definitely a close second of the four film versions, and like the '56 original, it's also one of my favorite sci-fi films.
