Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Kevin S — 12 Feb 2015
SUMMARY: A health inspector gets numerous complaints from a co-worker and friend that her husband is acting really weird. Soon them and a bunch of others realize the whole city is acting weird and they discover pods and that your body is being replaced with ones that have no emotion.
REVIEW: I am at a lost for words on how good this movie is. Also for it being a remake too. It's a good example that you don't need cheap scares and gore galore to have a creepy and genuinely scary movie.
The acting was done perfectly. It was acted out with total excellence. Of course tons of great talent was the cause of the that. It has been a long time since a movie has creeped me out this much and so this movie is a great horror film.
Everything from the creepy music and creepy body morphing right to the very scary and chilling ending. Even no music at the ending credits so that you can still be in shock at the ending makes it creepy too.
It makes you feel like there's no way out and that just scares the hell out of you. This is a great horror movie that was done with excellence. I heard the director Phillip Kauffman has a good resume and with movies like this I can see why.
Good job to him and the whole cast and crew for what should be one of the greatest horror movie's of all time.
