Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Paul T — 11 Sep 2008
From the wonderful opening credits, this is a beautifully realised and intelligently scripted adaptation of Jack Finney's sci-fi thriller, which manages to ratchet up the suspense through clever observation of human psychology and paranoia, before hitting you with the payoff of some - for the time - very decent special effects.
The interesting cast does a great job throughout and the cinematography captures 70s San Fancisco beautifully.
