I actually enjoyed this remake more than the original. Jeff Goldblum, Donald Sutherland, Leonard Nimoy. Was that Robert Duvall as the priest on the swingset at the beginning? I loved Kevin McCarthy's character from the original showing up and replicating his final scene from the original.
It almost makes it seem that this is a continuation of the first one. The first one took place in a small town and this one takes place in San Francisco. It's certainly plausible. The paranoia of the cold war from the last one really carries over well in this one 22 years later.
This one is good enough to own.
