Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Bill K — 20 Dec 2008
The 1978 version is a ballet of paranoia and survival. What is great about American 1970s filmmaking was that directors were more willing to take chances with how a story ended, so it adds to the suspense and horror in this film because we don't know who will win: them or us.
Not technically a remake, but essentially one, and one of the few that actually works.
