A remake actually done well, being "re-imagined" not entirely re-hashed or re-made exactly the same as its original namesake. Kaufman's remake is a bit slow at times, but the pace eventaully leads the audience into a sort of nightmarish state, full of paranoia and awesome sound effects, thanks to ILM's Ben Burtt.
