Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Ricardo O — 06 Jan 2010
This was a movie that I first caught as a wee lad one Saturday night on TV and loved loads. I never really liked the original take but hugely favoured this. The cast are all excellent and director Philip Kaufman neatly builds up the suspense.
Once its been established what's going on the film flags a little and the last half doesnt quite measure up to the sustained paranoia of the first.
