Remaking classic movies is always risky but this update of the brilliant 1956 film is almost (but not quite) as good as the original. it works because director Kaufman is content to stick to the same story source but widens the scope of the invasion, the small town here becomes the big city but we all have a pod in the basement, and if you don't? what can I tell you.
