Creepy remake of the 1956 film in which alien pods quietly takeover San Francisco and replace its citizens with emotionless copies. The creatures infiltrate the population through extraterrestrial plants that create these "body-doubles" when the real people fall asleep.
Since you can't really tell the difference between the pod people and the real people just by observation, the movie is largely a psychological thriller that leaves the surviving humans unable to trust one another.
