Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by John H — 14 Dec 2010

This version of the movie is about half an hour longer than Siegel's (1956). This time is used wisely, as the storyline and the characters have much more depth. The special effects are interesting and the acting is very good, Even though the suspense is compromised by the way the story is told so that it is absolutely clear that there are vegetal alien lifeforms taking over human bodies and eliminating the original, it is maintained throughout the movie by local twists.
