Review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) by Sean D — 17 Aug 2015

Not quite as good as the original, but a very well done remake in its own right. What I really liked, was that this was not a scene for scene remake. There was a lot of new or added content. The roles of the characters were changed. The personalities were tweaked, but still shared the same commonalities as the original actors in the first film. I couldn't ask for more in a remake.

Where the problem comes in, is the dragging on factor. The beginning was very boring and slow, so the pacing was kind of poor and dragged down the film for at least the first of the 4 half hours. Overall, aside from that, I would have ended up preferring this film over the original, just solely based off of the explanation of events in the plot was done much better and everything was much more straight forward and clear cut.
