Review of Intruders (2013) by Niklas S — 26 Mar 2012
When a scary story awakens a monster, two people are tortured from different parts of the earth. One kid is a Spanish boy who keeps having a recurring ânightmareâ? of a cloaked man attacking him. The repetition of this dream gets the attention of a local priest and exorcist. The other case takes place in London where a young girl also is having the same dream. However, one night, the father sees the monster and becomes involved with the whole messed up nightmare.
Bad horror movies are so boring. This film claims that the events take place when individual characters are asleep. However, for the London story, the horror scenes happen when everyone is awake. Thatâ(TM)s not a big problem, itâ(TM)s just weird. The real issue concerns a lack of horror scenes. Yep, thatâ(TM)s right! There are basically no parts that make a viewer jump or cling tightly to someoneâ(TM)s arm. Even worse, the acting was contrived and the script was horrible. Despite the movieâ(TM)s flaws, I still give it credit for the original idea. At the end of the day, this film had potential. It was from the horrible story telling that brought the movie down. Overall, the film was a failure containing terrible performances, a bad script, and a lack of scary scenes.
Intruders was not enjoyable. A lot of scenes were dark which made it hard for a viewer to see what was happening. There was nothing really interesting about this movie and I donâ(TM)t suggest seeing it. I give Intruders a one out of five stars.
