Review of Introducing, Selma Blair (2021) by Calamityjenn — 01 Nov 2021
It seems ridiculous to leave a review for this documentary as though entertainment was the inspiration for it's creation. Selma Blair allows us into her world at it's most vulnerable state. If you go into this expecting climax and suspense, then you are looking in the wrong genre.
Like most documentaries, this has it's share of slow moments which made it all the more poignant to me. Miss Blair doesn't get to fast forward and skip over the moments that may become tiring or uncomfortable nor would anyone else with a disability.
Regardless of whether or not one can relate to her notoriety, she reveals herself in the most human, honest and raw form. There's an abundance of valuable takeaways to be had from this 90 minutes if you are willing.
