Review of Intolerable Cruelty (2003) by Pam L — 22 May 2008
This film has funny performances, a great look, a nice atmosphere filled with screwball humor and '50's comedies homages; yet, "Intolerable Cruelty" doesn't set a standard like the Coens' other films did, specifically theirs that are similar to this genre ("Raising Arizona," "The Big Lebowski.
") Granted, it's better than their previous George Clooney collaboration, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" However, I still feel this one could've been lifted to the next level at some point.
I still liked it though, and Clooney and Zeta-Jones look great and both emit really funny energy throughout.
