Review of Intolerable Cruelty (2003) by Niloo R — 08 Dec 2009
For some reason this was in my favourite movies .... I have no idea why, but when I watched it again, I was shocked by how completely boring and long it was - and the thing that makes this even worse is that its actual length was only an hour and forty minutes, which means that it must have been REALLY boring for it to feel THAT long .
.. clooney and zeta jones were both mediocre at best, and the other actors were even worse - the story of this film was just stupid, and the fact that she got married and divorced three times just felt like the same story repeating itself three times.
the worst thing of all perhaps was how unrealistic the dialogue, characters and relationships all were - there was no sense of stability to any of the characters, especially cathrine zeta jones's and the crazily convoluted yet unbearably boring plot made it even harder for anyone to form any sort of emotional attachment to the characters.
needless to say - I was strongly tempted to fast-forward to the end of this film/stop watching it all together more than once.
