Review of Intolerable Cruelty (2003) by Michael T — 23 Jan 2009
I find it interesting that most people are surprised to learn that this film is by the Coen brothers. Most peoples impressions not having seen it think it is some cheesy, straightforward romantic comedy.
Once you see it though, it is clear who helmed the writing and directing. It is in no was the Coens' masterpiece, but a solid and quirky film non-the-less. Who else would make a film where a divorce lawyer and a gold-digger fall in love?
