Review of Intolerable Cruelty (2003) by Itamar K — 22 Nov 2009
It's true that up to the time it was released, it was probably the Coens' weakest film, but that doesn't mean it's not a completely worthy work by its own right; because even when the Coens are at their worst, their still miles ahead of everyone else.
Intolerable Cruelty is a romantic comedy on the surface, but it has some dark undertones that make it, nevertheless, a Coen film.
