I think Into the Woods works better as a Broadway play rather than a film, however I think while it has it's issues, it is somewhat clever. I do like that it seems to have the happily ever afters like halfway through the movie and the second half is what happens afterwards.
While the second act is darker than what I think how it was already portrayed but it's still good. Overall, I liked it.
