Review of Into the Woods (2014) by Ray M — 03 Oct 2016

You wouldn't have guessed it from the (rather deceptive) trailer alone, but this is a musical comedy and Johnny Depp has only a relatively minor role as the Wolf. The songs and singing are alright, but start to get a little tiresome near the end.

The story, while clever and quite funny (esp. the scenes with the princes), does not exactly end happily ever after, nor tragically either, but somewhere "in between" --a theme of the final act--which may leave some viewers feeling less than satisfied.
