Review of Into the Woods (2014) by Johnny K — 25 Apr 2015
The film's uneven final act and some unsteady subplots hurt this musical considerably, but Into the Woods is still a delightful affair thanks to its excellent productions values, solid cast (Most notably Meryl Streep, James Corden, and Emily Blunt), and enjoyable musical numbers.
It has made me interested in the musical, so like Les Misérables, it has accomplished its job. Verdict: B-.
