Review of Into the Wild (2007) by Derek J — 23 Jan 2012

I was torn by this movie because I wanted to connect with the character but it was hard for me to get past the fact of him coming from money and having such a hard time with it. Once I got past that and began to think in emotional terms, I was able to connect much more easily.

The thought of leaving everything behind and going on an expedition is an appealing one to me. Although, I would have to be much more prepared. It's a great movie but an even better story. It's unfortunate it ended the way it did but some people just have to learn for themselves.
