Review of Into the Wild (2007) by James M — 05 Aug 2012
Based on a true story about a young guy who rejects the conformity of life and embarks on an adventure which takes him from life on a hippy commune, working on a gran mill, kayaking through the grand canyon and on to Mexico until he reaches the wilds of Alaska.
A truly remarkable film which captures the essence and spirt of this young rman who is both passionate, inspirational and rebellous but like all of us he is flawed. He is so blighted, selfish and deluded that it makes you want to scream.
Utimately he paysthe price for his stubborn rejection, not just of his family but all the wonderful characters who love him along the way. A masterclass in acting. Superb movie.
