Review of Into the Wild (2007) by Brad E — 22 Jan 2015
First saw this several years ago. Still my favorite film of all time. Emile Hirsch brings so much life to this character. Having read the book, it was nice to see how faithful it was as well. While Chris McCandless certainly isn't perfect (I know many Alaskans are annoyed with his actions), you have to at least admit this story is just so interesting.
Chris donated his entire savings to charity before hitting the road for 2 years, and left a profound impact on most everyone he came across. A real heart wrenching story.
