Review of Into the Wild (2007) by Tungis G — 23 Feb 2015
It was really long for what it was. Was this supposed to shake me out of my commercially driven reality and get me in touch with my deeper self, man? This movie was so bad when I stumbled upon this entry I had to check back to make sure I rated it as low as I could.
They could have did this movie in an hour or so. Well produced and sometimes well shot, but there are only so many ways to shoot a guy walking while make the audience listen to acousticly hummed Pearl Jam tunes. There were some pretty neat moments and I think in this case less would have been more. A lot less would have been a lot more.
At least it helps answer the question for those that have romantically respectable dreams of living off the land and "using nature as your grocery store" that, no you can't really do that.
