Review of Into the Wild (2007) by Emma S — 19 Mar 2012
I'm not the weakest opponent to our societies Money grabbing Capitalistic ways, but having some rich, Philosophy regurgitating student burn his money and run away from his family (ok his parents were dicks, but his little sister?) and "discover himself" was not going to endear me to the Main character one bit.
This film does have good ideas, some supporting actors doing some really moving work and some magnificent wild American vistas but in the end Christopher McCandless story makes me want to burn my ID and run very far away.
