There is a discernible point in Into the Storm where the movie just gives up on itself (when an F5 appears out of nowhere and chases a convoy of school buses out of town). From then on it becomes a great example of so-bad-it's-entertaining.

The only folks that shouldn't be ashamed are the ones on the visual effects staff. The script is a mess (characters come and go with no resolution) and the acting is all-round unconvincing (only Sarah Wayne Callies manages to avoid embarrassing herself).

Can we file a class-action lawsuit against the marketing team at WB? They pulled a serious bait-and-switch here. Don't be fooled: this is a shaky-cam movie. They just removed all the degrading filters from the trailer footage to lure in a first person-weary audience.

And Donk and Reevis have to be the most unfortunate characters to grace the screen since Skids and Mudflap. It's the movie's final slap in the face to the audience that they survive.
