Review of Into the Storm (2014) by Ian P — 10 Feb 2015
Into the Storm is a disaster film that quietly follows Twister (1996) but dubbed as its poor version. What make this film look like a B-movie type of Twister is because beyond its amazing special and thrilling effects, it has nothing to offer.
There's even no moral lesson to learn in this movie. Maybe just be cautious in disasters of weather? I also find its story not very much heart-warming except for the character of Sarah Wayne Callies and her daughter but the rest were just forgettable.
At least the suspense moments made up for it and the survival mode story make it at least still worth to watch. It has a promising trailer as a disaster movie but I just end up disappointed with its story and characters.
It has a mediocre story which could have polish. Into the Storm is shot in found footage type of film so looks like a documentary or true-to-life feel to it.
