Review of Into the Storm (2014) by Robert W — 03 Mar 2015
What really irked me about the movie was that, although it was supposed to be about a town in Oklahoma, NONE of the major characters had anything close to an Oklahoma accent. They all sounded like professional actors from LA or the East Coast.
The only characters to have anything close to a rurual accent were the 3 town idiot/drunks. This is insulting not only to the people who live in Tornado Alley but also to the audience. I agree with what one critic said in that NONE of the characters were memorable or had problems worth carrying about.
But I did enjoy the special affects--but I would have prefe rred to see only the tornadoes destroying everything in their path rather than have to deal with these third rate actors.
