Review of Into the Storm (2014) by Carrie G — 16 May 2015

For those of us in MS, and folks Tornado Alley, we call this Spring and Fall. Plus we have hurricanes too fun fun for everyone! I've asked why am I watching movies like this when I live with the real thing? Curiosity. Truthfully I was expecting it to be more like what it's really like living here and thinking maybe they throw in some special effects to show how dangerous they are. No it's not even close. Not even bad sci-fi close.

SMH I'm so disappointed in this movie! My expectations were really high but part of me was saying greeeeeeat they're going to create another weather movie. No I didn't read the reviews before watching this movie because I don't usually agree with them and have my own mind. I don't need someone else to tell me what to like or not to like and I'm quite opinionated already. For those who do, this movie SUX to the enth degree! When people say it's a modern day Twister they're not lying. There's overkill of impossible natural theatrics and a waste of money spent on blowing things up. Never thought I would ever say that but too much really CAN ruin a film. WHO KNEW? They tried to throw in some dimwitted humor making fun of YouTube vids but they fell flat. So save your time and go watch Twister for the millionth time. Even if there's a Twister the 10th it's got to be better than this. At least Twister had cows.
